Questions, answered
Recording is about 10% of the work. Producing is everything after: editing for retention, audio engineering, YouTube packaging and SEO, a multi-channel launch, and turning the episode into 6-16 social clips. That's what decides whether anyone actually sees it.
It scales with length: up to ~6 clips from a 45-minute episode, ~10 from 90 minutes, and ~16 from a 90-minute-plus show - enough to post 3-4 times a week from a single recording.
Front-load the keyword in the title, design a high-contrast thumbnail with a clear emotion, write a keyword-rich first 150 characters of description, add timestamped chapters, and use 2-3 relevant hashtags plus back-end tags.
Podcasting is now video-first - most listeners have watched a podcast, most often on YouTube. Audio still matters, but video unlocks discovery, thumbnails, clips and the algorithm.
